Around Australia

Australia is a dream destination for many and one of the most beautiful places on earth to visit. Endless sporting and leisure opportunities, unique wildlife and white sandy beaches are all within easy reach of World Heritage-listed natural wonders.

Reef and rainforest

North of Cairns you’ll find one of the most beautiful regions of Australia, the meeting point of an ancient rainforest and the Earth’s largest living coral structure. Stay in the exclusive village of Palm Cove and enjoy highlights including swimming and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef and discovering the beauty of the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest.

New South Wales

The Warrumbungle National Park in NSW is celebrating after officially being certified as Australia’s first Dark Sky Park by the International Dark-Sky Association. It joins an elite list of only 36 other Dark Sky Parks around the world. "Australia has a long history of engagement in global space research. Our strategic location on the Earth, our wealth of ground-based sensors and space environment researchers, our increasing contribution to space surveillance to help ensure safe and secure access to the space technologies on which we depend.” – Professor Ian Chubb AC, Australian Government Chief Scientist.

Victoria

The Great Ocean Road stretches along the coast of Victoria and is an ideal way to experience the beauty of Australia’s rugged coastline, spectacular beaches and relaxed coastal townships. Take the opportunity to watch the sun set over the Twelve Apostles from one of the many viewing points. These aptly named giant limestone monoliths follow the cliff face boundary of Victoria, towering 45 meters from the Southern Ocean.

It is not known exactly when the limestone stacks became known as the Twelve Apostles… or why. Local folklore suggests that because they seem to exude such power and awe, visitors can only stand in awe of nature and its creation and hence the name’s biblical origins.

Visit the Apple Isle

Tasmania, an island state off Australia’s south coast, is known for its vast, rugged wilderness areas, largely protected within parks and reserves. The island also offers a 19th century penal settlement, Georgian warehouses, boutiques and contemporary art galleries.

The dramatic Red Centre

Called the Heart of the Nation, the ‘Red Centre’ is arid, dramatic, vast, a land of extremes and home to Uluru (Ayers Rock), Australia’s spectacular monolith. Delegates will also discover other geological wonders such as Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), Kings Canyon and more. This dramatic land is an exciting destination boasting spectacular wilderness, rare wildlife, rich Indigenous heritage and hospitable local people.
